FEDERAZIONE GOMMA PLASTICA

The offices of the Federazione Gomma Plastica, located in an elegant post-war building in the centre of Milan, were the subject of a renovation project whose main objective was to overcome an image that was by then outdated and stereotyped, and characterised by severe environments that are now far removed from the needs of today’s business. The project has given the offices of this Federation, which belongs to the world of Confindustria, a completely new identity: more contemporary, lighter, less set, but at the same time more attentive to people, workers as well as guests, through more functional and welcoming spaces.. The new atmosphere is built on a delicate colour palette of whites, greys and light beiges, and characterised by custom-designed, suspended, airy furniture, devoid of supports and any element of formal or visual heaviness. This light and contemporary language runs through the entire project, from the operational area to the executive spaces, up to the entrance and reception area, characterised by a strong connotation of identity graphics that also introduces a touch of colour. In addition to the renewal of the image, the project solved important practical needs, such as the increase in the number of operational workstations, achieved by relocating the meeting room to a smaller space. In fact, the installation of a video conferencing system that uses advanced technology for both in-person and remote communication, has allowed for optimal performance and a consequent reduced need for physical space to be dedicated to in-person meetings. The systems have been renewed, in particular the lighting is studied in detail to ensure visual comfort. The result is an environment that combines institutional identity and attention to the quality of working life, capable of conveying a new idea of representation, welcoming visitors with less formality.
